We’re expecting great things from Microsoft very soon… I feel like an expecting father pacing up and down the hall.

So, we’re delighted to have secured Ian Ellison-Taylor who is the General Manager of Client Platforms and Tools at Microsoft – that means that he’s in charge of WPF and Silverlight project programmes. We’re still figuring out the format of the evening, but Ian will be highlighting the new feature and insights to Silverlight 3 and the Expression 3 Suite with an opportunity to fire lots of questions at him!

Microsoft are kindly providing the facilities of Cardinal Place (nr Victoria) so that we can accommodate a larger audience. Microsoft are donating pizza and EMC Conchango will be providing the liquid refreshments!

So, the details are:

About Ian Ellison-Taylor

Ian's picture

Ian Ellison-Taylor has been working with Microsoft for about 18 years! In the early years he was a shell developer on Windows 3.1 (Channel9 interview) but more recently has been one of the principal guiding figures of WPF and Silverlight. Currently holding the title of “General Manager of Client Platforms and Tools” he’s responsible for both the WPF and Silverlight product teams. Ian remains quite elusive from the Microsoft blogs but can be hunted down on Channel9 talking about WPF if you look hard enough!

This is a cross post from my EMC blog, mainly for backup duplicity and to aggregate some of my past postings. My EMC blog used to be under the Conchango brand but was acquired by EMC so I’ve also retrospectively refreshed some of the old links and maybe a tweak a bit of content too.
